A guide to using the Shield feature to protect your checkout instances

The Shield feature allows you to block or challenge suspicious activity on any of your checkout instances.

The main view divides entries by type of activity the entries block. You can change the Shield Mode on any value from the Mode column directly.

Adding Values

Click the Add Value button in the top right corner.

  1. Select the type of value you want to block from the Type dropdown.

  2. Then choose which instances it applies to.

  3. Choose to Block or Challenge it with a CAPTCHA whenever this value appears on your checkout.

Address

Enter an address that you wish to block or challenge in the provided form.

Card Number

Cards can be added in the text box to block or challenge. Substitute numbers with * or X to block numbers with wildcards. Separate entries by new lines.

BIN Number

Enter card BIN numbers to block or challenge particular card issuers. These are usually the first 6-8 digits on the card. Entries must be separated by a new line.

Email Address

Enter email addresses to block or challenge. Entries must be separated by a new line.

IP Address

Enter IP addresses to block or challenge. You can specify IP ranges with a dash (-). Entries must be separated by a new line.

Phone Number

Enter phone numbers to block or challenge. Entries must be separated by a new line.
